Hero Journey Club is designed for kids aged 10 to 17. We organize our groups into relatable age ranges so members can connect with each other and share similar experiences.

We are currently running both Bedrock and Java versions of Minecraft. Players can join our Minecraft server via: PC, Mac, and Tablet.

We are actively working on launching support for Switch, PlayStation, and XBOX.

Similar to other extracurricular activities, you'll sign your child up for a specific class that meets at the same day and time each week. If you need to make a change to your schedule, please reach out to customer support and we’ll be happy to help you coordinate!

We offer classes Monday to Friday with various time options each day. The earliest class is 2 pm ET and the latest class is 9 pm ET. We frequently add more time slots, so if there is a specific time/day you’re looking for, don’t hesitate to reach out!

At Hero Journey Club, we’re dedicated to empowering kids with tools for life—nurturing emotional resilience, effective coping strategies, and essential life skills that support them in every challenge they face. Through our specially designed curriculum, you can expect your child to improve in areas like communication, resilience, and emotional intelligence, to name a few. You’ll also receive weekly newsletters right to your inbox that summarize the topic for the week, along with discussion prompts to help reinforce the learning at home.

During the first 30 days, if after the first few sessions you find it’s not quite the right fit for your child, we will fully refund you. Hero Journey Club prioritizes the safety and well-being of its members. We have clear guidelines to ensure a safe and respectful environment, including measures to prevent disruptive behavior. To further protect our younger members, we use Kid Web Services (KWS) to verify the identity and age of account holders. Though we are a subclinical service, we implement stringent security protocols, providing a level of protection and privacy similar to standards used in clinical care. This ensures your teen’s information is handled with the utmost care and confidentiality. Hero Journey Club also keeps records of all sessions, ensuring privacy and safeguarding personal interactions.

Any computer or tablet and a copy of Minecraft with access to Multiplayer (Minecraft game not included in program costs). For the best experience, we generally recommend using your browser on your computer as some tablets (e.g. Amazon Fire) may not be able to run Minecraft and play audio from the group session at the same time.

Your child will need to be able to have a browser window open alongside their Minecraft window as our secure audio-only classrooms are hosted within our website. Headphones with a built-in microphone are suggested but not required.

Once you’ve successfully connected to Minecraft ahead of your first session, you can simply log in for future classes and launch Minecraft! Minecraft set-up only needs to be completed once.

If you’re a Windows user, you can choose either version of Minecraft download (Java or Bedrock). If you use a Mac/Apple computer, you can only download the Java version. If you’re going to be playing on a tablet/mobile, you’ll need to use the Bedrock version. If at any point you need to switch versions, contact us!

HJC will cancel classes on most major holidays that coincide with school breaks. We will extend the billing cycle to accommodate those skipped classes and always let you know ahead of time!

Your child’s first session will start within one week of signing up. If your selected session time falls within 48 hours of initially enrolling, the start date will be set for the following week. This allows families time for Minecraft and account setup, ensuring a smooth first session experience!
